Meeting your Le Pine funeral director

After reaching out to our team, we’ll connect you with a caring Le Pine funeral director who will help you plan and carry out your loved one’s funeral arrangements.

The first meeting is typically where we’ll get to know your family, understand your loved one’s wishes and begin to plan the funeral details. 

It’s a good idea to allow 1-2 hours when meeting with your funeral director. This ensures you can cover all the important details without feeling rushed. Not every decision needs to be made in the first meeting. However, there are a few important details to discuss.

We’ll decide on a day, time and place for the service.

This helps family and friends plan their time if they need to travel or take time off work.

The funeral service

 

We’ll discuss the service itself.

We’ll cover things like who will lead the service, and discuss options such as music, flowers, newspaper/internet notices, catering, webcasting, videos and anything else you’d like to do to personalise the funeral.

Legal documentation

 

The funeral director will gather and complete the required documentation, including the death registration.

Cost and payment options

 

The pricing and payment options will be explained by your funeral director and you’ll be given a fully itemised estimate of the fees.

Support

 

A supportive family or friend.

Information

Clothing

 

Clothes for the deceased to be dressed in, including perfume and make up if you wish.

Photo

 

A current photo of your loved one is helpful to assist with their presentation.

Prepaid documentation

 

Prepaid funeral plan documents, if any.

Alternatively, if you have their wishes written down, you can bring those too. 

Reservations

 

Burial site reservation, if any. 

Questions

 

A list of any questions you may have.

After the meeting

Your funeral director will liaise with all service suppliers for you, ensuring your loved one’s wishes are carried out as planned.

We’ll also give you a copy of the funeral arrangements so it's clear what was agreed.
